Text Buffer

You can copy information about objects displayed in the map then put this information ina buffer for later usage. The buffer can be displayed by pressing the Ctrl and B keys together (Ctrl+B). The buffer looks like this:

· The first button above the text area of the buffer lets you copy its contents into the clipboard (for another use, for example in a word processor program).

· The button with the black cross lets you delete the contents of the text buffer.

· The button with the red cross lets you remove the text buffer from the screen (without deleting its contents). This is equivalent to another Ctrl+B.

Information which can be inserted into the text buffer is as follows:

All values in the fields of the object identification window can be copied into the buffer. To do this just left-click on the label to the left of the field you wish to copy.
The position of the cursor on the map is copied into the buffer just by hitting the B key. It will copy either equatorial or azimuthal coordinates depending on the setting of the cursor position area in the bottom right of the C2A screen (a double click in this area lets you change the type of position coordinates displayed).

The copying of information into the buffer is cumulative, that is to say that each piece of new information is added to that already there.
